The world-famous Dutch Swing College Band is touring with a new line-up. This enables the one and only Dutch Swing and Dixieland orchestra to play the traditional repertoire like it did in the fifties and sixties. The history of the Dutch Swing College Band (DSCB) goes back to Liberation Day. On May 5, 1945 the band started out as an amateur combo, that brought the music of the liberators - the jazz - to the lowlands. In no time they were known for their recognizable, yet unique sound, and over the past 55 (!) years they have grown out to be almost an institution.

On the threshold of a new era, the Dutch Swing College Band goes right back to its roots. Back to the music they played over 30 years ago, and back to the outstanding arrangements of their famous former musical director, trumpeter Peter Schilperoort. With their four piece horn-section and swinging rhythm-section the Dutch Swing College Band is in full swing.
